Remembering Comrade Mathai Chacko: A Loss to Darsana and the Left Movement

It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our beloved Comrade Mathai Chacko, who departed from us on the morning of 12/03/2024. Comrade Mathai was one of the founding members of Darsana and a constant source of inspiration for all of us.

Throughout his tenure, Comrade Mathai’s dedication to Darsana was unwavering. He actively participated in numerous Annual General Body meetings and served as an Executive Committee member for many years. His leadership extended beyond Darsana, as he was a prominent figure in the CPI(M) in Ranni, Pathanamthitta, and held positions in various committees and organizations.

Despite facing health challenges in recent years, Comrade Mathai remained committed to his ideals and the left movement. His passing is not only a loss to Darsana but also a significant loss to the entire left movement, particularly in Pathanamthitta.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and comrades. May his legacy continue to inspire us in our pursuit of social justice and equality.
